Dear Community Member,
The St. Louis Association of Community Organizations (SLACO) is sponsoring the St. Louis Regional Neighborhoods Conference on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at Harris-Stowe State University. In collaboration with the University of Missouri – St. Louis, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and Harris-Stowe State University, the conference will bring together local community and neighborhood leaders to share information, address problems, and advance the region.
This year’s conference, Great Neighborhoods for a Greater Region features over 20 workshop sessions covering topics such as community gardening, after-school programs, housing, neighborhood organizing and more.
As part of Make a Difference Day, we are encouraging neighborhoods and associations to send two or more individuals to cover more workshop topics.
Be sure to check out the Livable St. Louis Conference – taking place on October 26 and hosted by our partner, Trailnet. For more information, visit trailnet.org.
We hope to see you at the conference!
